A benevolent deity honored as the first among the celestials, whose worship leads to a path full of positivity, hope and opportunities negating all the obstructions in-between. This Ganesha brass sculpture is an embodiment of knowledge, patience and enlightenment, which can also be averred from its glossy and super shiny sun-hue. Perched in lalitasana on a blooming lotus throne, carved in magnificent three layers of petals with each chiselled in multiple vertical lines for decoration and Mushika in reverence to the Lord. Ganesha’s spark of diligence and divinity is beautifully spoken with the subtle formation of his eyes and the presence of sacred symbols- Om and trident on his trunk.

Zoom in to appreciate the sculptor’s skills and concentration to carve the self-textured dhoti decorated with motifs of flowers and an ethnic styled border with the creases near the hem indicative of Ganesha’s choice of comfort and luxury. Artist’s intriguing creativity can also be well analyzed from the rare depiction of belts coming down from both the shoulders and tucked-in with dhoti as a part of his garb. Also, the long spiraled necklace is attached to a stylized rectangular pendant that forms the brooch for his belly ornamenting belt. Beauty and style of his choker necklace is also taken over to form the bracelets for his four hands.

Ganesha has his face structured here in child-like innocence along with the tattooed elephant ears and intense floral etched trunk coils from the bottom in edampuri pose. With the bowl of laddus and the bhagnadanta (broken tusk) in anterior hands, Ganesha reminds us of him being young, as every young one loves sweets and a lesson to always finish what we start respectively. The alluring designs of his implements, which he holds in the rear hands complement with the beauty of his multiple layered crown, embellished with a temple-like brooch in the centre and a flower aureole.
