This is the sculpture of a Chinese deity, and could be one of Fu, Lu, and Shou. These deities are responsible for the health, wealth, and prosperity trifecta, which the Chinese believe are intertwined. This brass feng shui sculpture is to be placed on a wide, flattop surface such that it does not face a door or a window or a washroom. It is a stately, ferocious-looking deity with an equally ferocious lion tamed at its feet. A staff in one hand and an offering in another, the elemental deity is dressed in embroidered silken robes in keeping with Chinese iconography. Curvaceous vines flank the wrathful face with its lusciously streaming beard.
